MRV THERAPY
About Me.
Hi! My name is Jeremy Silcox, MSW, LICSW.
My family and I recently relocated to the Mad River Valley from Jackson, WY. I am originally from Shelburne, VT and grew up skiing, playing soccer, and exploring the world during my early days in the Green Mountains.
While in Wyoming, I worked for over 30 years as a youth counselor and Licensed Clinical Social Worker for a non-profit organization that provides a wide range of services to families and children. My skillset was honed over years supporting a diverse cross-section of mental health needs, including but not limited to: anxiety, depression, self-harm, suicidal thoughts, substance issues, trauma and ADHD. Strongly rooted in a humanistic, strengths-based, and trauma-informed approach, I believe in the healing power of relationships and that unconditional positive regard increases trust. My approach to therapy is informed by cognitive behavioral therapy, internal family systems, collaborative problem solving, adventure therapy, and structural family therapy.
My greatest joys come from sharing in the wonders of life with my children. I also fill my cup by staying active outdoors: skiing, biking, hiking, and camping with friends and family. I love to cook, tend my garden, practice tai chi, stargaze, and follow the ups and downs of my favorite team, Liverpool Football Club.
